Andrew Keyes - Toronto-Danforth
Andrew Keyes - Toronto-Danforth

Andrew Keyes has deep roots in the Toronto-Danforth area, having bought his first home here in 1988.

A communications specialist and entrepreneur, Andrew is a recognized leader in the communications industry. Recipient of several industry honours, Andrew has assisted private and public sector corporations with their communication strategies for over twenty-five years.

An active community volunteer, Andrew has served as board member and president of a local ratepayer association, was Chairman of the Advisory Committee for the Georgian College post-graduate New Media program, served on the Industry Advisory Board of the Liberty Village New Media Centre and has sat as a judge for several industry-leading advertising and design competitions.

A child of immigrant parents, Andrew understands the value of family and hard work. After putting himself through college, he graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Arts from Ryerson University in 1984. Andrew’s two children, Catherine and Daniel, both attended public school in the Toronto-Danforth riding. Having to provide for his own family on a tight budget, Andrew Keyes has a very real understanding of the challenges young families are faced with today.

Andrew believes that government must be smaller, less intrusive and fiscally prudent through lowering taxes and creating a strong economy and not borrowing from future generations to pay for services we can’t afford today. The best assurance for a strong social safety net that is available to help those in need is a strong economy.

Andrew Keyes is listed on the “Canadian Who’s Who,” the standard reference source of contemporary Canadian biography published by the University of Toronto Press.
